Terms of Service

These Terms govern access to and use of KivLoft, including public pages, accounts, downloads, browser tools and community features. KivLoft is a non-commercial service currently operated by:

1. Eligibility and account

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or use interactive features. You may browse public content without an account. A verified account is required for downloads, reviews, comments and forum participation. You must provide accurate information, protect access to your Google account and promptly report suspected misuse. A public display name must not impersonate another person or infringe rights.

2. Service and availability

KivLoft may add, change, suspend or discontinue features for security, legal or maintenance reasons. Reasonable care is taken to keep published descriptions, formats and compatibility information accurate, but you must verify that a file is suitable for your project before relying on it.

3. Asset licenses

Access to the website does not transfer ownership of an asset. Each file page identifies the license that governs that specific download. The license page forms part of these Terms. Third-party components inside a package may retain separate license notices; those notices take precedence for those components.

4. Free downloads

All files currently available through KivLoft are free of charge and supplied under the license displayed at the time of download. KivLoft does not offer paid checkout, advertising, affiliate links, donations or a newsletter. Any future commercial service would require updated terms and disclosures before it is introduced.

5. Community content

You retain rights in comments, reviews and forum posts you submit. You grant KivLoft a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format and display that content solely to operate, secure and moderate the service. You confirm that you have the necessary rights and that your content is lawful and accurate. Users cannot upload or publish asset files; only the operator publishes assets.

6. Prohibited conduct

• Uploading or linking to malware, credential theft, spyware or destructive code.
• Infringing copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual or other rights.
• Automated scraping, denial-of-service activity, bypassing rate limits, signed-link sharing or access-control circumvention.
• Spam, harassment, threats, illegal content, impersonation, fabricated reviews or download manipulation.
• Redistributing an asset contrary to its license or presenting it as your own standalone product.

7. Moderation and account action

KivLoft may hide content, restrict downloads, suspend an account or preserve evidence where reasonably necessary to enforce these Terms, protect users, comply with law or investigate abuse. Where appropriate and legally required, reasons and an appeal or contact route will be provided.

8. Intellectual-property notices

Rights holders and other users may submit a detailed notice through the reporting and takedown process. Knowingly false or abusive notices are prohibited.

9. Security and downloads

Downloads are delivered through short-lived links after account and access checks. You must still scan files in your own environment and maintain backups. Do not execute unknown code in a privileged environment. Security issues should be reported privately to legal@kivloft.com.

10. Warranties and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the service and free assets are provided without a guarantee that they will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for every purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, nor limits mandatory consumer rights. You remain responsible for integration, testing, backups, third-party licenses and the final product in which an asset is used.

11. Governing rules and consumer rights

These Terms are governed by the law applicable to the service operator, without depriving consumers of mandatory protection available under the law of their habitual residence.

12. Changes

Material changes will be identified by a new version and effective date. Existing users may be asked to accept a new version before using interactive features. Archived versions should be retained in the operator's legal records.
