KivLoft processes the audio you choose in your browser. The file is decoded, edited and exported on your device; it is not uploaded to a KivLoft server for conversion. That is useful for draft voice lines, unreleased game audio and client material that should not leave your workstation. Your browser may ask for permission to save multiple downloads, but the completed file is created locally.

Start with WAV, MP3, OGG, Opus, M4A/AAC or FLAC when the current browser can decode the file. WAV and MP3 exports are built in, and FLAC export runs through a local browser encoder. OGG and Opus choices appear only when the browser exposes the required encoding support, so the tool does not claim a format is available when it is not. Keep the original source file: conversion creates a new download and never overwrites the file you selected.

For a dependable export, begin with the shortest useful source range and choose the channel mode deliberately. Mono can suit a compact UI cue, while stereo may matter for music, ambience or positional effects. Preserve the original sample rate when it already suits the target, or choose 22.05 kHz, 44.1 kHz or 48 kHz for a specific delivery need. The preview uses the same edited audio buffer that the export uses, so it is the right place to catch an unwanted fade, a clipped ending or a selection that is too short.
